The Music Icon Plays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a major film presence in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
In the film, she plays what she calls as a dark version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the performer commented.
She further explained in a discussion: This isn’t a concert film, but the idea stemmed from the demand to create one.
A Sneak Peek into The Moment
The initial preview, launched on this week, blends actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who revealed that the narrative focuses on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

A Hectic Film Calendar
The mockumentary is just one of many future screen roles for Charli, who recently featured in three cinematic festival entries this year.

She also played herself in the humorous show Overcompensating.
Future Ventures
The coming year will also include the star alongside Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in scary reboot Faces of Death.
Additionally, she agreed to star in the actress’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.
I’m deeply appreciating my acting journey, Charli stated. I feel very, very inspired right now in acting, and I solely aim to pursue projects that excite me.
Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also include the debut of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will feature new music from Charli.
She will also compose the score for the drama Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch next year.
The film is set to premiere on January 30.
