Slip-ups From Global Leaders When They Think No One Is Listening
This week, Indonesia's leader Prabowo Subianto believed he was a private conversation with US President Donald Trump at the Gaza peace summit in Egypt.
Instead, a live microphone situation captured Prabowo requesting Trump to organize a call with his son Eric, both of whom hold positions at the Trump organization.
It represented only one in a string of missteps committed by world leaders when they assume no one can hear them.
Below are several additional memorable blunders:
Organ Transplants and Everlasting Life
At a military parade in Beijing this September, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were recorded talking about organ replacement as a approach for extending lifespan.
"Human organs can be repeatedly transplanted. The longer you live, the more youthful you get, and you can even achieve immortality," the Russian translator was recorded stating.
Xi, who was not visible, answered in Chinese: "Some predict that in this century people may reach 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Ex-Australia immigration minister Peter Dutton faced criticism in 2015 when he joked about the plight of people in the Pacific facing rising sea levels.
Dutton was conversing with then-prime minister Tony Abbott, who had recently come back from climate change talks with Pacific Island leaders in Port Moresby.
Noting that a migration discussion was running on "Cape York time", Abbott responded: "There was a similar situation up in Port Moresby."
Dutton commented: "Schedules become irrelevant when you're about to have the ocean reaching your home."
The comments sparked outrage from Pacific Islands and climate activists, while the opposition Labor party demanded Dutton to issue an apology.

'Bigoted Woman'
As Labour prime minister Gordon Brown was on the trail in 2010, he faced a voter who questioned him on migration and the economic situation.
Still wired up to a Sky news microphone when he got into his vehicle, Brown was recorded stating: "That was a disaster – they should never have put me with that individual. Whose idea was that? Absurd."
When questioned about she had said, he answered: "All topics, she was just a prejudiced person."
This incident received extensive coverage for an extended period and Brown ultimately lost the election.
'I Can't Stand Netanyahu. He's a Liar.'
Former US president Barack Obama was in conversation at the international conference in Cannes in 2011 with then French president Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu were picked up by a live microphone.
Sarkozy said: "I can't stand Netanyahu. He deceives."
Per a account from a translator quoted by Reuters, Obama replied: "You've had enough but I must work with him frequently than you."
'Major League ***hole'
A classic hot-mic moment from then US presidential candidate George W. Bush occurred when he made a disparaging remark about a journalist from The New York Times.
The Republican presidential nominee was didn't realize that a microphone was live when he leaned over to Dick Cheney at a political event and said, "That's Adam Clymer, complete jerk from the New York Times."
Cheney answered: "Absolutely, that's true, big time."
