Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose complete information during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports had indicated the firm was looking to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
