Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
