Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring above a well-attended coastal beach unexpectedly started spinning out of control, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.
Footage shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then falling towards the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palm groves and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on that day.
Three people on the road were hurt. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
